Pete Shelley – “Homosapien”

Pete Shelley was best known as the lead singer for the Buzzcocks, but he also had a solo career as well.  His solo work was more rooted in electronic music, and his debut album Sky Yen featured some of his electronic experimentations and has been loosely compared to some Krautrock music.  “Homosapien” was his first solo “single,” which he released in 1981.  The single was banned by the BBC for its references to gay sex.
