From Jim Sullivan‘s “lost psych masterpiece” UFO, which was recently reissued by the always-impressive Light In The Attic label (home to Rodriguez, The Monks, Kris Kristofferson, and Cat Stevens reissues). The fascinating thing is that Jim Sullivan mysteriously disappeared outside Santa Rose, New Mexico in 1975 after recording this album. His VW Bug was found, and his hotel room was left untouched. A lot of people think he may have had mafia ties, or was maybe abducted by aliens. Either way, this album is truly a “lost classic” filled with psychedelic pop gems that have really held up over the years. From start to finish, this is an amazing record that should not be overlooked.
