Hangedup is/was a two-piece band from Montreal consisting of Genevieve Heistek of Sackville on viola, and Eric Craven (now of Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra La La Band) on drums and percussion. Most of their stuff is fairly high energy, and very unique stuff. I’m not sure they’re around anymore, as they haven’t released anything since 2005, but I’d highly recommend any of their records if you’re into this type of thing.
