A favorite from my high school years. In 1990, Shimmy Disc released this tribute compilation to The Rutles. If you’re not familiar with The Rutles, it was a fake, mock-Beatles band created for the film by Eric Idle and Neil Innes of Monty Python fame. The band ended up recording a couple of albums and even did some touring. They did a pretty great job at completely ripping off The Beatles. This Rutles Highway Revisited album also features contributions from Daniel Johnston, King Missile, Shonen Knife, Lida Husik, and Bongwater, to name a few.
