The Inner Mystique by Chocolate Watch Band has been getting some heavy rotation around these parts lately. Top to bottom this record is great. These guys were from San Jose, CA, and primarily active in the late ’60s. They had many disputes with their manager, Ed Cobb because Ed ended up hiring session musicians to record half the album without telling the band. From what I’ve heard, the band recorded their parts for the record and didn’t know that other people were brought into the studio until they received their finished copy of the album. “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” is a Bob Dylan cover, and it sounds like it was sung by Mick Jagger.
