As a band, Toronto’s Austra is only a year old, but the band’s sound can be partially credited to primary songwriter Katie Stelmanis‘s 10 years of performing music in various outfits. The trio just released their Feel It Break LP on Domino, and there’s quite a buzz going around about it. It’s heavy on the synths, so it gets my vote.
