I’ve been hearing very mixed opinions about this record. Some have panned it for being way too 80s, and some have praised it for its very specific sound. Personally, I love this whole record. I guess that’s to be expected though, as I’m a major sucker for epic 80’s soundtrack-sounding jams. This track in particular features Nicolas Ker of Poni Hoax and sounds like the sort of song you’d hear while seeing the Karate Kid’s Danny Larusso in a training montage. Also featured on the record are Au Revoir Simone, Jonathan Jeremiah, and Sky Ferreira. You should check out this record and form your own opinion about it.
