This song just randomly popped into my head today and I realized I hadn’t heard it in ages. This Latyrx record from Lyrics Born & Lateef the Truth Speaker blew my mind when it was released back in 1997. Hearing something like this coming out of my speakers in small-town New Hampshire was like getting some strange transmission from another world. These guys never did release another full-length after this, although they releases some singles and a great EP. they’ve both continued to pursue solo careers since, yet still appear on each others’ work occasionally.
