The Normal was a short-lived project started by Daniel Miller, founder of the influential Mute label back in the late ’70’s. Daniel only had a couple of releases under this moniker, primarily this 2-song single, which featured the minimalist classic “Warm Leatherette.” Daniel also went on to produce such acts as Depeche Mode, Erasure, Wire and DAF.
