Michael Moorcock’s Deep Fix was a project between science fiction writer Michael Moorcock and members of psychedelic prog rock legends Hawkwind. They recorded a few things together, but none of their work seemed to top the B-side to this single that they released in 1982. The A-side, “Brothel In Rosenstrasse,” was named after one of Moorcock’s novels, and “Deep Fix” was named after one of his short stories. This song is a great little electronic, beat-driven track that was way ahead of its time. This song recently appeared on the Elaste, Vol 3 compilation curated by Dompteur Mooner.
