I’ve been on a HUGE Nilsson kick lately. I’ve been a fan for years, growing up hearing my dad play “Coconut” and the like. I’ve even sampled him way back on some early recordings. I recently saw a great documentary on him called Who Is Harry Nilsson, and Why Is Everybody Talkin’ About Him? which explored his entire career, and it blew me away. This guy was such an amazing songwriter. He wrote “One” which ended up becoming a hit for Three Dog Night, “Everybody’s Talkin'” which was the theme song for Midnight Cowboy and a ton of others that you’d surely recognize. I can’t speak highly enough of this guy.
