From the amazing 2008 Gang Gang Dance release “Saint Dymphna” (named after the patron saint of outsiders). “Princes” features 22-year-old UK Grime MC Tinchy Stryder. This record is a fairly significant departure from their earlier stuff. While their older stuff has tended to be more noisy and psychedelic, this record veered more towards beat-oriented stuff (similar to the progression that The Boredoms made over the years). It’s always great when a band can be heady and psychedelic, yet hard as fuck.
