Rediscovering a ’90s Treasure: Bobby Conn Performs ‘Never Get Ahead’ Live

I’m not sure when this Bobby Conn performance was filmed, but the song originally came out 17 years ago, in 1997. You can tell Bobby had a hard time changing the original lyrics of “You’re never gonna get ahead, giving head to the man” to “Saying yes to the man” for TV.
